Burbio.com, a fast growing and award winning digital start-up is adding to their Content Research Team. The work is 100% remote and project-based (20-30 hours per week depending on the project) with schedule flexibility.
Burbio aggregates school, government, library and community event information and delivers it to our corporate partners across the US for consumer engagement and business intelligence as well as to our own burbio.com subscribers. Burbio's School Opening Tracker data was referenced over 200 times last year by press including the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, CBS News, NBC News, CNBC, Bloomberg, NPR, USA Today, Axios and many more.
Burbio's technology organizes and streams millions of hyper local events and keeps them automatically updated. Burbio's Content Research Team supplements the event data by researching the same source sites for additional information.
The Content Research position will entail:
- Researching state education and school district websites for information about their various school policies and offerings including their learning mode options, COVID mitigation plans, and school schedules
- Classifiying and categorizing findings in a spreadsheet or database
- Working with the Burbio Account Management team to service issues for clients and partners
The position requires strong computer, research and analytical skills and being able to efficiently use a variety of different software programs. Having a good understanding of school and community life is also essential. The role requires maturity, organization, attention to detail, creative problem solving.
